It's 1930s Paris and Cornelius Rossini, with his brother Ignatius are there to visit the cellar Cornelius's wife died in during the Paris Commune, 60 years ago. They are part of the Donati, a long-lived race with paranormal powers. A few days later, Cornelius gets a visit from the police at his lover, Dastan's address. They want to take him in for questioning over the murder of the current owner of the house and cellar. He, like Cornelius's wife has been found covered in blood. Can the Donati prove Cornelius's innocence and prevent disaster?
